In the 1980s and ’90s, the career of makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin followed the trajectory of the supermodels he worked with—Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell. He was the most in-demand artist of the time, revolutionizing the industry by focusing on revealing natural beauty, rather than burying women in layers of products.
The film explores his life, art and legacy with never-before-seen personal footage, archival videos, and interviews with the stars who knew him best.

The success of American Idol has been described as "unparalleled in broadcasting history". The series was also said by a rival TV executive to be "the most impactful show in the history of television". It has become a recognized springboard for launching the career of many artists as bona fide stars. According to Billboard magazine, in its first ten years, "Idol has spawned 345 Billboard chart-toppers and a platoon of pop idols, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Jennifer Hudson, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert and Jordin Sparks while remaining a TV ratings juggernaut."

"SWV Reunited" WeTV (television series)

In the '90s, the ladies of SWV—Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” George—were on top of the music world. From the streets of New York to superstardom, they had a string of top ten R&B hits including “I’m So Into You,” “Right Here,” “Downtown,” “Weak,” and “You’re Always On My Mind.” With over 15 million albums sold, a Grammy® nomination, an American Music Award nomination and 11 Billboard Music Awards nominations, SWV was unstoppable. But while they seemed to have it all, the drama behind the scenes tore the group apart. It didn’t just end, it ended badly; and in 1998 the members of SWV went their separate ways.

This season, SWV begins to record a new album, but shocking secrets from the past, management drama, health emergencies and devastating personal problems threaten the future of the group.

The X Factor is an American reality television music competition created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia North America and SYCOtv, a partnership between Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment, on Fox.[2] Based on the original UK show, and an addition to the The X Factor franchise, the series finds new singing talent (solo artists and groups ages 12 and over), drawn from public auditions, and they compete against each other for votes. The winner is determined by the show's viewers via telephone, the Internet, and SMS text voting, and is awarded a recording contract with Cowell's record label Syco Music, worth $5 million in seasons one and two, and $1 million in season three. America has voted for the following winners: Melanie Amaro, Tate Stevens, and Alex & Sierra, respectively.

MTV's new series "Girl Code" is a strong and smart female driven comedy series bringing millennial viewers a new, hilarious how-to manual full of over the top tips to push the envelope and open the dialogue about the wonders and woes of womanhood. In the same style of irreverent commentary that fans have come to love on MTV2's top rated series "Guy Code," the new MTV series calls on female stand-up comics, actresses and musicians -- and even a few guys -- to weigh in on the sisterhood that all girls share.

In 2011 Emily Saunders launched her namesake brand SAUNDER. With a great concern for quality craftsmanship and a love for her city, the collection is produced (start to finish) in the Garment District. SAUNDER is a reflection of the eclectic taste and temperament of its designer. A traveler at heart, Saunders infuses her line with global influences as well as an overall flavor of downtown New York. Her pieces encapsulate the essence of femininity but with a quirky eclectic twist.
